Terms of service

1. Who can use Together

• You must be 13 or older to create an account. We don't allow accounts for children under 13.
• If you're under 18, you need your parent or guardian's permission, and they agree to these terms for you. Younger children are welcome to study alongside a parent using the parent's account.
• You must give a real email address and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
• One account per person. Accounts can't be shared or sold.

2. Membership and payment

• Together costs $10 a month per person, the same for everyone, whether you study alone, in a group or with a church.
• Membership is billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renews automatically each month until you cancel. Prices are in US dollars, and taxes may be added where they apply.
• To cancel, go to Account, then Manage membership. Your membership then runs to the end of the month you've paid for and doesn't renew.
• Payments aren't refundable, except where the law requires a refund.
• If a payment fails, you'll have a short grace period to fix it. After that your account becomes read-only: you can still read and download your notes.
• If we change the price, we'll tell you at least 30 days before your next payment at the new price, so you can cancel first if you choose. If we offer Together free for a time, we may end that and ask for a membership to continue.

3. What you write stays yours

Your notes, answers, prayer requests and everything else you write belong to you. You give us permission to store them and show them to you and to the people you share them with (for example your group), only so that Together can work. That permission ends when you delete what you wrote or your account, apart from copies others already have (such as a meeting recap a leader sent).

Only share what you have the right to share, and remember that your group can see what you post in it. The privacy policy explains who sees what.

4. Our content

The Bible text is the World English Bible, which is in the public domain. Everything else in Together (the chapter teaching, questions, word studies, catches, maps, design and code) belongs to Together and is protected by copyright.

You may use it for your own study and your group's, and share the pictures and links Together makes for sharing (a verse, a catch, your certificate). Please don't copy, publish, sell or scrape our content, build a competing product from it, or try to get around how Together controls access.

5. Be kind in groups

Groups work when people feel safe. When you use Together, don't:

• harass, threaten, shame or bully anyone;
• post anything hateful, sexual, violent or illegal;
• share someone else's private information or prayer requests outside the group without their permission;
• pretend to be someone you're not, or send spam or advertising;
• try to break, overload or get into parts of Together you're not meant to.

Group leaders can remove members from their group. We can remove content, or suspend or close an account, when these terms are broken. If someone in your group is making it unsafe, tell us at help@togetherbiblestudy.com.

6. What Together is, and isn't

• Together is non-denominational. Where Christians who share its beliefs read the Bible differently, we show the main views and don't pick one. See what we believe. We work hard for every claim to rest on the text, but we can make mistakes; if you find one, tell us.
• Together isn't a church, a pastor, a counselor or a doctor, and nothing in it is professional advice. If you or someone in your group is in crisis or danger, call your local emergency number. In the United States you can call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
• Some features use AI to draft text, such as a meeting recap for the leader to review. AI drafts can be wrong; the leader edits them before or after sending.

7. Ending your account

You can stop using Together and delete your account at any time in Account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if we have to by law. If we ever stop offering Together, we'll give you notice and a chance to download your notes.

8. Our responsibility to you

We work to keep Together available, accurate and safe, but we provide it “as is”, without promises that it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, Together isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you, and nothing here takes away rights you have by law.

9. Disagreements

If something goes wrong, please email us first at help@togetherbiblestudy.com; most things can be put right quickly. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where Together is organized.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Together grows. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Together after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can cancel and delete your account.
