What we believe
Together is non-denominational: it isn't tied to any one church or denomination. Here is what we believe, in common with Bible-believing Christians across many churches, each resting on Scripture. Every chapter in Together is written and checked against it.
The Bible
The Bible is God's word, true and trustworthy, and the final authority for what we believe and how we live. That's why Together starts and ends with the text.
“Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness…”

There is one God, eternally Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Matthew 28:19 Creation
God made everything that exists, and made every person in his image.
“God created man in his own image. In God’s image he created him; male and female he created them.”
Genesis 1:27 Sin
Every one of us has turned from God, and none of us can put that right on our own.

Romans 3:23 Jesus
Jesus Christ is God the Son, who became a man, lived without sin, died for our sins, and rose bodily from the dead.

1 Corinthians 15:3-4 Salvation
We are saved by God's grace, through faith in Jesus, not by anything we do.

Ephesians 2:8-9 The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit lives in those who believe and teaches them.

John 14:26 The church
Those who belong to Jesus belong to each other, and are meant to meet, read and grow together.

Hebrews 10:25 Jesus will return
Jesus will come back, as he promised.
“This Jesus, who was received up from you into the sky, will come back in the same way as you saw him going into the sky.”

Where Christians disagree
On some questions, faithful Christians who hold everything above still read the Bible differently: for example, how long the days of creation were, how and when to baptize, how the events of the end will unfold, and how churches should be led. Where a chapter touches one of these, Together lays out the main views, shows the verses each rests on, and leaves the choice with you and your church. We don't pick a side.

What's in the text, and what isn't
Some things are widely taught but aren't in the Bible, and some things are plainly in it that almost everyone misses. Together says which is which, with the verses, so you can check for yourself.
“Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.”
